Lab Testing & Certificates of Analysis
Every product listed below was sent to an independent, FDA-registered laboratory for contaminant testing, and we publish the full Certificates of Analysis (COAs) here so you can read the results yourself, not just take our word for it.
The short version
- Lab: Advanced Laboratories, Salt Lake City, Utah (independent, FDA-registered)
- Heavy metals: lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury, measured by ICP-MS (USP <730>)
- Microbial safety: total aerobic count, total yeast and mold, coliforms, E. coli, Salmonella and Staphylococcus aureus (USP <2021>/<2022>, AOAC 991.14)

Why we publish our lab results
Supplements in the US don't need approval before they're sold, so the burden is on the brand to prove what's in the bottle and what isn't. Whole-plant ingredients come from soil and water, which means trace minerals, including heavy metals, are present in nearly every botanical product at some level. The honest question is not "is there zero?" but "how much, and was it measured?" Publishing the full certificate answers that.
How to read a COA
- Lot number: the specific production batch that was tested. It ties the certificate to a real run of product.
- ppm (parts per million): how heavy metals are reported. 0.010 ppm is 10 parts per billion. "<0.001" means below the lab's detection limit.
- CFU/g: colony-forming units per gram, used for microbial counts. "<10" is the lowest the method reports.
- Absent: the pathogen was not detected in the sample tested.
- Method: the published standard the lab followed (USP and AOAC methods are the industry reference methods).
To put a result in context for your own use, multiply the ppm figure by the grams you take per day. Your practitioner can help you compare that to the limits that matter for you.
